MANOI AT01 is a 1/5 scale athlete humanoid created by Kyosho in Japan. It is designed to be easily customizable and has detachable faceplates making exterior modifications very common for this robot. Instead of a typical Nickel Hydride battery MANOI AT01 uses a Lithium Polymer battery, which provides not only longer battery life, but is lighter too. It’s design was influenced by leading ROBO-ONE robot builders Dr. GIY and the Sugiura family.

MANOI AT01 sells for 147,000 Yen ($1,300 US) and is only available in Japan. It is a very promising robot for hobbyists and will likely be a common platform for years to come.
